Schedule an Appointment
Regardless of whether you have insurance or are going to pay for services out of pocket, we require all clients to have a credit card on file. This card will be used for payment of all future appointments, any insurance co-pays, and any no-shows or an inadequate cancellation (less than 48 hours).
Once you have scheduled your initial appointment, we will send you several documents through the Patient Portal. It is crucial that all paperwork is completed and submitted 48 hours before your first appointment.
Missed or cancelled appointments: We require 48 hours’ notice to cancel an appointment. This allows us the ability to offer your appointment slot to another patient who may need an appointment. If you cancel your appointment in less than 48 hours or miss your appointment, a missed appointment fee will be charged. This
fee is $150 for a missed Initial Evaluation and $100 for a missed follow-up appointment. These will be charged to your credit card on file.Administrative work: We do not charge for any administrative time less than 15 minutes. For administrative work that exceeds 15 minutes, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee of $250/hour in quarter-hour increments. This would include but is not limited to completing paperwork and forms (for schools, employers, etc.), answering emails and messages (rarely takes that long), and prior-authorizations for medications. We will always notify and request permission to proceed prior to engaging in work that would generate an additional fee.
We only work with adults ages 18+ who are seeking care for non-emergent conditions. Following the privacy laws that protect patient information, we cannot respond to inquiries or emails from third parties (i.e. spouses, parents, children, assistants, etc).
In most cases, we do not offer long-term “talk therapy” services and recommend establishing care with a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) if that is what you are looking for. While we incorporate psychotherapy in our sessions and offer extended sessions (50 minutes) for those who are interested, we primarily focus on medication management combined with short-term supportive therapy.
If you do not wish to take medication, we are happy to work with you in sessions that focus on integrative treatments and behavioral/lifestyle strategies aimed at improving overall well-being (nutrition, sleep, movement, social connection, optimizing physical health, etc).
Please be aware that we only provide clinical, treatment focused services. We do not provide court-ordered, disability, forensic, custody, or parenting evaluations and do not write letters or offer consultations for legal purposes. As a solo provider, we are unable to provide 24 hour or immediate crisis services. If I believe that you may need a higher level of services than I can provide, I will give you referrals for other treatment options.
